Frequently Asked Questions
Why is a game missing?
Phalk Profiles skips games with less than one minute of recorded playtime. A platform may also hide games or activity because of its privacy settings, or may not provide data for every title.
How do I sync Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 playtime?
On your console, open your profile's Play Activity Settings and set visibility to All Users. In Preferences, enter your Friend Code in the Nintendo section, save it, and choose Sync Nintendo now.
Nintendo provides a recent play log, usually around 20 games. Older games already imported remain on your Phalk Profiles page after they leave that list. Nintendo does not distinguish Switch from Switch 2 in this data, so both appear as Switch. The public log does not include exact last-played dates; Phalk Profiles can only estimate a date when a later sync detects increased playtime.
How do I upload Nintendo Switch data with homebrew?
- Download PhalkProfiles-Switch from its official GitHub repository.
- Copy
PhalkProfiles.nroto/switch/PhalkProfiles/on your SD card. - Open the Homebrew Menu, launch Phalk Profiles, enter your website credentials, then choose Export & Upload.
This method requires a modded Switch. Nintendo does not distinguish Switch from Switch 2 in the imported data.
How do I upload Nintendo 3DS play data?
- This feature requires a modded Nintendo 3DS with the Homebrew Launcher. Download the latest release of the PhalkProfiles-3DS project.
- Copy
PhalkProfiles-3DS.3dsxto/3ds/PhalkProfiles/on your SD card, then launch it from the Homebrew Launcher. - Choose Setup 3DS timezone and enter the same UTC offset configured on your 3DS. The app requires this before it can export timestamps coherently to the website.
- Choose Set username and Set password and enter your Phalk Profiles login details.
- Connect your 3DS to Wi-Fi, then choose Upload play data.
How do I upload a Playnite library?
- Install Playnite on your PC and connect the platforms you use.
- Install the PhalkProfiles Playnite add-on.
- Open the add-on settings, enter your Phalk Profiles login details, and save.
The add-on uploads your library when you launch Playnite or play a game through it. Playnite can combine platforms that do not have a direct Phalk Profiles sync.
How do I sync Steam?
- Make your profile and game details public. In Steam, open your profile, choose Edit Profile → Privacy Settings, and set your profile and game details to Public. Turn off Keep my total playtime private if that option appears, and check that the games you want to share are not marked Private. Steam's privacy guide explains these settings.
- Find your Steam ID. Open your Steam Community profile. If its address contains
/profiles/followed by a long number, use that SteamID64. If it contains/id/yourname, you can enter the name or full profile URL. Phalk Profiles accepts these formats. Steam's guide to Steam IDs has more information. - Optionally create a Steam Web API key. While signed in, open Steam Web API Key registration and register a key. If Steam asks for a domain, enter
phalk.net. Save the key in the optional Steam Web API key field in Preferences. Without a personal key, Phalk Profiles uses the site's key. - Save and sync. In Preferences, save your Steam ID, custom URL, or profile URL, then select Sync Steam now.
Your own Steam key is optional: when you leave it blank, Phalk Profiles uses the site's shared key. That key may not provide full details for every achievement. Steam also often omits the exact last-played date; when possible, Phalk Profiles estimates activity after a later sync detects increased playtime. On a first import, there may be no date to estimate. A personal key can provide additional play activity data, but cannot guarantee information that Steam does not return.
How do I sync PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5?
Make your game activity visible to the site's PlayStation service account. In Preferences, enter your PSN Online ID in the PlayStation section, save it, and choose Sync PlayStation now. You do not need to provide your PlayStation password or an authentication token.
The sync imports supported games, playtime, dates, and available trophies. Private activity cannot be read, and trophy sets may finish loading over multiple syncs.
How do I sync Xbox games and achievements?
- In Preferences, enter your Xbox gamertag.
- To import achievements, create an account at OpenXBL, verify your phone if prompted, and copy an API key from your dashboard. OpenXBL's free plan currently allows 150 requests per hour.
- Paste your personal key into Your OpenXBL API key in Preferences and save. This key is required for achievements; it is optional if you only want your game list and playtime.
- Choose Sync Xbox now. The site's shared key can import games and playtime, but does not request achievements. Your own key attempts achievements for all games in that sync; OpenXBL and Microsoft limits still apply, and unfinished games can be retried later.
The key field is masked. Leave it blank when saving to keep the saved key, or choose Remove API key to delete it. Detailed achievements use a separate OpenXBL request per game.
How do I sync RetroAchievements?
- Sign in or create an account at RetroAchievements.
- While signed in, open RetroAchievements API key settings. Find the Web API key and copy it. The official API guide has more information.
- In Preferences, enter your RetroAchievements username and Web API key, save them, then choose Sync RetroAchievements now.
The Web API key is required for this integration. The field is masked; when changing other settings, leave it blank to keep the saved key. Treat the key like a password and do not share it.
Phalk Profiles imports games, playtime, available last-played dates, and unlocked achievements. Games appear under their original console. Achievement details may load over successive syncs. Tooltips can show regular completion rates and, when available, Hardcore completion rates and unlock dates.
